A busy mom sharing tips and recipes with other busy moms.

Hi and welcome! This blog is all about food! I will be sharing delicious recipes that anyone can make! Cooking and baking shouldn’t be just for the professionals! More families should be able to cook and bake at home! I recently started baking all our bread because store bought is just not as good or healthy! So, I want to encourage others out there to cook and bake more! I know not everyone was taught this as a kid, so I want to offer that! I teach my kids and even my friend’s kids how to make some amazing things and I want everyone to have the opportunity to make great food at home!

Who doesn’t love a brownie?! This recipe is SO simple. We had a busy day yesterday but needed to make a dessert for a potluck. So, I put this brownie mix together for a simple pour, mix, bake that my daughter was able to do!

Ingredients: 1/2 cup sugar, 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, 1 1/4 cup flour, 1 cup cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 cup chocolate chips, 1 cup melted butter, 1 tablespoon vanilla, 4 eggs.

    Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

Simply stir together all the dry ingredients, then add all the wet and stir together until combined! Pour into a greased pan and bake!

Here is the fun tip: you can use a 9×13 pan and bake 30 minutes for some yummy gooey brownies, OR if you prefer more of a cake brownie that doesn’t make your fingers a mess, bake in 2 square pans for 25-30 minutes! Use a toothpick or fork inserted in the middle to test for doneness. It should come out clean!

I hope y’all enjoy these brownies as much as everyone did last night at our potluck!

This recipe is a favorite for breakfast potlucks. My friend’s son is always asking for it! It is super simple and conveniently put together the night before and then baked (or even heated in a crock pot) the next morning!

Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients: 12 eggs, 1# bacon, 1/2 cup sour cream, 1 cup shredded cheese.

The night before cook the eggs (scrambled), cook the bacon (crispy). Stir the sour cream, eggs, and bacon together. Put in either a 9×13 pan or crock pot. Sprinkle with the cheese. Cover with foil (or the lid to the crock pot) and put in the fridge until morning. When you get up preheat the oven to 350 degrees and bake for 30 mins covered. If using a crockpot put on low setting for 1/2 hour, then turn to high for another 1/2 hour
